PUTTING THE RED ROSE COUNTY OF LANCASHIRE
ON THE WORLDS' ROCK 'n ROLL MAP..
Top of the Pops Thursday, Crackerjack Friday, Radio 1 Playlist and No 33 in the Pop Charts and they stick us on at the Geraldo Club in St Helens for £50 quid...?
Below: Rainbow Cottage playing at Jenkinson's Bar, Blackpool during their summer season there in 1972. Left to right are: the late Graham Hill, Steve Morris, Phillip Stokes and Tony Houghton.
It looks like they may have dropped the money because we could only afford shirts and had to play in our underpants!
A few black and white photographs of Rainbow Cottage playing Blighty's in Farnworth in the mid 70's. The photographs were taken, developed and printed by the late Neil Wilford - RIP. Neil, his wife Pam and their family were probably the the groups biggest fans and used to turn up at our gigs all over the country. Neil was the creator of several videos of Rainbow Cottage which he posted on Youtube and which can still be viewed today.
